River options available between Palisade and Loma and are all perfectly suited for families with children or folks who want to operate different crafts (such as a raft, Stand-up Paddle or inflatable kayak). Sections are dependent on river flows. This river sections within the Greater Grand Junction Area are listed flat water with some wave trains and is well suited for novice paddlers. The character of the river is calm, flat and slow moving. This is a great introduction to SUP expedition’s, and we recommend this trip for first time SUP river paddlers. Especially, those that are ready to cross over from paddling on the lake to rivers.

What to Expect on a Guided Day Float Trip:
We can start our day early (7:00 am), or we can start as late as 2:00 (1/4 day only, perfect for the adventurer who also likes to sleep in!). We will meet at the Las Colonias Shop, where we will fit our life jackets and get our personal gear squared away into our small dry bags. Before long, we will be headed out to start the relaxing float down the river.
A 1/4 day river trip will last approximately 2 hours roundtrip.
A 1/2 day river trip will last approximately 4 hours roundtrip.
A Full Day river trip will last approximately 8 hours roundtrip.
