An in-depth introductory lesson that will review personal preparation, board & paddle design details, paddle environment & safety, how to stand up on a board, prone paddling, range of motion exercises, bracing, how to slow down and stop a board, power forward stroke, forward and reverse sweeps.

Learn SUP River skills & techniques such as ferries (crossing current), peel outs, eddy turns and how paddle on rapids. Students will also learn about river SUP equipment, safety gear, river environment & water safety while paddling down some of the most beginner friendly sections of the Colorado River.*Previous lake lesson is highly suggested so that student has basic knowledge of paddling strokes and technique.

Join us any of the experiences we offer. Classes include dry land SUP demo that will review the equipment and basic paddling technique. Once on the water we will warm up with a 10 min paddle. Then, SUP yogis will take their yoga poses to a new level while floating and enjoying the elements around them. Other classes include a beautiful moonlight paddle board experience at Highline Lakes State Park. Boards will be lit up with lights and we will paddle under the moonlight. We will listen for and observe the natural elements around us, meditate and and enjoy each other’s company.
